The Calling Dream reads like a nightmare for Loradean. Loradean was forced into a marriage and abused. She makes her way North for a fresh start. She gets settled and is able to bring her daughter, Marion, to live with her. The story was a fast read that pulled me right into the book. I didn't like the way it ended. There has to be a sequel so that we can see Marion on her quest to right a wrong.Product details

This is a great read......you won't be able to put the book down once you start. I was hooked the moment I read the Prologue. B.D. Jordan is a detailed writer, she brings her characters to life and make you feel like you are actually part of the story as it unfolds with real life situations. Much Love for this Author
I wasn't too happy with the ending. Maybe the next book would be better.

I loved the book, but the ending left me hanging........
I totally enjoyed the book from beginning to end. The emotions are real, and I could relate to the characters. They seemed so real, I could feel their pain and their joys. The mother in the story suffered a great loss on the day her daughter was born. The silent resentment towards her child resulted in a rift between them which was never healed. This in the mother's mind lead to the ultimate betrayal, but who was really the victim?
The story started out well and then fell flat after the 50% mark not to mention the ending. I don't know if the author meant to end the story that way. I thought the characters were just ok. Overall, this book did not give me the excitement or spark I'm usually looking for when I'm reading
